When and where?
Join more than 400 public health professionals in Tunica,Mississippi at the 2010 Mississippi Public Health Association Annual Conference and Business Meeting September 22-24! The conference site this year is the HARRAH'S Tunica Hotel (formerly Tunica Grand Hotel) in Tunica, Mississippi. This year's theme is "Building a Healthy Mississippi...One Community at a Time," and we are working on a great line-up of speakers and sessions on important public health and professional development topics. Exhibitors from the health care industry as well as other state agencies will also join us, so please be sure to take advantage of the information presented and provided by these important partners.
Are continuing education hours available?
Yes, continuing education hours will be available for nurses, nutritionists, and social workers; the number of hours granted changes each year based on speakers, topics, etc., and are currently under review. More information will be available closer to Conference.
How do I make hotel reservations?
Room reservations are $59 per night for single or double and can be made by this direct web link to MPHA's room block where you will receive an immediate confirmation number, or you may call 1-866-645-7095 and use group code SO9MPHO.
The cutoff date for reservations is Monday, August 23, 2010. Credit card or $50 cash deposit is required at check-in for all guests. If you are sharing a room, please list both individuals and inform hotel of shared room with split bill.
Membership and reimbursement: MSDH employees must be a member in good standing of the Association to attend and receive reimbursement. The Membership application and information is available on the website at www.mspha.org. As a reminder, you must complete two separate forms to attend: 1) MPHA 2010 Membership application and 2) 2010 Annual Conference Registration form (coming soon!!!). In addition, some sections have additional and separate dues.

Absolutely! 2009 Conference highlights are provided in the box on the right-hand side of the page for informational purposes. 2010 Agenda is being developed and will be posted at a later date.
