One of the most important pieces of MPHA’s work is its advocacy efforts on behalf of Mississippi public health professionals. We provide an objective, outside voice to advocate not only for public health’s interests but also for Mississippians’ health interests. From calling for adequate funding of public health to advocating for policies that improve the health of Mississippians, MPHA is the voice of and for public health in Mississippi.

MPHA 2022 Legislative Agenda
The MPHA Proposed 2022 Legislative Agenda was presented to the membership during the November 17, 2021, business meeting. This summary includes the broad topic areas of priority advocacy work for MPHA in 2022. A more detailed list with policy briefs will be posted in January 2022.
