Participants will learn about personal branding and leadership branding. You will also understand how to recognize individual core values. A demonstration on how to use social media websites to build your personal and leadership brand will be shared.

October 29, 12:00-1:00 PM: More Than A Paycheck: Work and Human Flourishing
Mississippi’s labor force participation rate measures how many people that can work, are working. The state has consistently ranked among the bottom in the US for labor force participation, but recent trends have shown improvement. This session will provide an overview of recent trends in Mississippi’s workforce, including its relationship to mental health, “brain drain,” and healthcare industry growth. Work is more than a paycheck – it’s a pathway to human flourishing.

November 5, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Determine Who Is Eligible to Have YOU on the Team
During this interactive session, participants gain an increase in self-awareness, self-management, and self-confidence. Each participant will have the opportunity to complete an 8-10 minute strengths assessment, The Core Values Index (CVI)™, in advance. Some of the participants CVI Profiles will be reviewed during the workshop to ensure everyone understands their own profile. Participants will leave the workshop with tools to be a champion for change in their workplace.

This presentation will provide PERS members with comprehensive information about benefits, and available benefit options, as well as information on the retirement process.
